About Us
Who is behind the Jutland Mill?
-
We are Martin and Antje — designers and engineers with a passion for mechanical systems.
The Jutland Mill didn't begin as a product idea. It originated as a personal project for our own garden. We wanted to create a windmill that wasn't just decorative, but actually worked—mechanically well-engineered, visually appealing, and technically sound.
From the very beginning, we set ourselves a special challenge:
No glue, no screws, no electronics. Everything had to consist entirely of 3D-printed parts and function solely through mechanical principles. Even the automatic alignment with the wind had to be achieved through the design alone. Why? Because we love exactly this kind of challenge. We are driven by the process of solving complex problems and developing systems where every part fulfills a function and everything fits together logically.
3D printing gives us the freedom to bring our ideas to life step by step. Many prototypes, countless adjustments, and numerous tests later, the Jutland Mill became what it is today—a windmill that not only looks beautiful, but whose mechanics can be built, understood, and experienced.
For us, the Jutland Mill is more than just a model.
It is the result of curiosity, perseverance, and the joy of transforming an idea into something tangible. -
